Why games for adults?
Growing up has been an interesting experience for me - - I never really grew out of games. And the more I enticed others to play, the more I realized that adults love games. It can be hard to find games to challenge adult-sized bodies and (sometimes) quick minds. My google searches of games turned up games for 5 year olds, games I already knew, games for people who were completely inactive, or worse.
Thus, the concept for this site was born.
The site's mission? To provide adults with challenging, fun games that can be adapted for a variety of skill and activity levels.
Sometimes it's easier to say what something is by pointing out what it's not.
- This site does not promote drinking games. If you haven't figured it out already, you can make any game into a drinking game. It takes a lot more creativity to make a 4 hour car trip without alcohol or illegal substances into a fun adventure. My challenge to you: play some of these games without drinking...and enjoy it. If you get drunk because you can't be wild and fun and ridiculous when you're sober, now's your chance to redeem yourself.
- This site has nothing to do with sex. The words, "adult" and "mature" should mean "grown up" rather than "you're about to walk into a porn movie." No porn here, friends, and if you want to learn more about this issue, check out one of my fave activist groups, stoppornculture.org .
- This is not perfect. I am constantly seeking feedback, and realize this site is far from ideal. Got ideas on how to make this site better? Want to let me know what you're diggin'? Send in some comments. Those will turn into emails directly to me - and though I can't respond to everyone, I do read everything that I receive.
- This site is not complete. Have great games you want to share? Fill out the "great game" form to share your love with the world.
